Coastal Villages from Kingscliff to Pottsville

Take a Tweed Coast drive to Fingal – Kingscliff – Casuarina – Bogangar / Cabarita – Hastings Point – Pottsville a distance of approximately 35 kilometres.

Travel south on Tweed Heads bypass and take first Tweed Coast exit on your left, immediately after crossing the Barney’s Point Bridge. Turning right at the roundabout takes you to the unspoiled golden sands of Fingal Beach. Fingal Lighthouse can be reached by taking the short walk through remnant coastal rainforest to the headland. Cook Island and its marine reserve can be seen offshore.

Alternatively turn left at the roundabout to follow the southern part of Tourist drive 38. Enjoy a short picturesque drive along the banks of the Tweed River at Chinderah, and enjoy a picnic with breathtaking views of Mt Warning. Relax in the park on the banks of the river or perhaps feast on a fresh or cooked seafood lunch.
